Corporate Events in Frankfurt Westend

A craft beer bar with an Indian kitchen at Mendelssohnstraße 51 — five minutes from Messe Frankfurt, right by the Festhalle/Messe U-Bahn. Twenty rotating taps, over 130 bottles, and a kitchen running tandoor grills and curries.

We host company parties, Christmas parties, team events and client evenings, from fifteen guests up to full venue hire.

Rooms and group sizes

Four areas that combine depending on how many of you there are.

15 – 20 guests, seated — The beer tasting table (around 16 seats) plus an adjacent table. Quieter than the bar, good for evenings where people actually talk.

20 – 30 guests, standing — The bar area, exclusively: three high tables and around twenty bar stools, with the buffet set up along the bar. This is the loose version — people move around instead of sitting in one seat all night.

Up to 30 guests, private — The main guest room converts into a closed tasting room. Own space, own door, full AV. This is the one for presentations and client evenings, anything that shouldn't happen in the open room.

40 – 60 guests, private — our strongest format — Main guest room and beer tasting table together, buffet in the connecting hallway. The area closes off completely. At 50 to 60 guests the place works best: big enough that there's an atmosphere, small enough that a speech still reaches everyone.

80 – 125 guests — The whole place, exclusively.

Groups of 30–40 or 60–80 we sort case by case. Just send us the number.

These figures describe the rooms. The guided tasting has its own ceiling, covered below.

A beer tasting as the programme

This is the part you won't find anywhere else in Frankfurt.

A guided session: five different beers, 0.15 L each, German craft plus a few international pours, picked so the styles sit far apart. A beer expert walks the group through what's in each glass and why it's worth their attention. Runs 60 to 75 minutes.

The second version pairs each of the five beers with a dish from the kitchen. Spice against hops — the idea the whole place is built on. Runs 75 to 90 minutes.

From ten people, up to a maximum of 50. The ceiling is deliberate: one host pours five rounds and talks the group through them, and past about fifty guests that turns into service rather than a tasting, with the back of the room no longer listening. Our rooms hold up to 125 people. A hosted tasting doesn't.

For larger groups we put a beer board on the tables instead — five beers per person, the same selection, without the hosting. That scales to the whole venue. If you want the guided format regardless, we split the group across two sittings.

Available in English. Wine, gin and whisky tastings by arrangement.

Food

For groups we cook buffet, not à la carte. The reason is practical: the kitchen is small and everything is cooked fresh. When thirty people order at once, the last ones wait a long time. At a buffet everyone eats when they're hungry, and it keeps coming until people stop.

Three formats:

Full buffet — starters, mains with basmati rice and naan, dessert. The whole evening.

Starters spread — a tandoor and appetiser selection to graze on alongside drinks. For evenings built around drinking and talking, with food running alongside.

Starters plus wraps — the same, but more filling.

Vegetarian and vegan are built in, not added as an afterthought. We set the spice level: mild, European-medium, or mixed. Tell us in advance what your group can handle.

If curry is all you picture when you think of Indian food, you've only seen half the kitchen. What mostly comes out of the tandoor is grilled: mixed grill platters, chicken tikka, goat mince seekh kebab, drumsticks — curries and naan run alongside rather than at the centre. It tends to win over the groups who came in wanting steak.

And if you have something else entirely in mind, just ask. Allergies, cultural requirements, or the group simply wants something different — we've built plenty of menus that aren't on any card. Tell us what your people should be eating and we'll tell you honestly whether we can do it well.

Drinks

Twenty rotating taps and over 130 bottles and cans — hazy IPAs, sours, stouts, Belgian classics, alcohol-free beers. Plus gin, rum, whisky, wine, alcohol-free spirits, soft drinks and coffee.

Drinks run on an open tab and are billed on actual consumption. You pay for what gets drunk.

We don't do cocktails — this is a beer bar. If a cocktail list is on your wishlist: twenty rotating taps cover more ground than most cocktail menus, and the evening tends to stick in people's memory longer.

Audio Visual

Two JBL wireless microphones and speakers in every room, so a speech or a quiz carries across the whole venue.

For presentations you have a choice: projector with a large screen, or two televisions. The projector is easier to see, but the screen eats a lot of floor space and cramps a full room. The TVs cost you no space but need two laptops — they can't mirror from one source.

All in house, nothing rented in. AV is included with a food package or an agreed minimum spend.

Send us the group size, date, rough timing, and whether you want seated or standing. If you have a budget in mind, say so — we'll build the selection around it rather than quoting you something that doesn't fit.

FAQ

How many people can you host?

From around 15 guests up to 125 with full venue hire. We're strongest between 20 and 60 — that's where the bar area, main guest room and beer tasting table combine well.

Is there a separate room?

Yes, in two sizes. The main guest room on its own becomes a closed space for up to 30. Combined with the beer tasting table it gives you a private area for 50 to 60 guests, which is the size the venue handles best. AV is included either way.

What does a corporate event cost?

We price per person, depending on the buffet format and whether a tasting is included. Drinks are billed separately on consumption. Proposal on request.

Can we order à la carte instead of a buffet?

Above 30 people we'd advise against it — the kitchen cooks fresh, and thirty different orders at once means real waiting times. If it has to be à la carte, we work from a fixed shortlist of five or six mains.

Does this work for a Christmas party?

Yes. December books out early — enquire in September or October.

Vegetarian, vegan, allergies?

All fine. A vegan main is included in every buffet. Send allergies in advance and we'll plan the selection around them.

Can you run a beer tasting for 100 guests?

Not as a hosted tasting. That caps at 50 — beyond it, half the room can't hear the host. For larger groups we put beer boards with five beers per person on the tables, or split the group across two sittings.

How far is Messe Frankfurt?

Five minutes on foot. Festhalle/Messe is the nearest U-Bahn station.
